We're lifelong learners, so a deep dive evaluation of every project is a standard part of our process. And it's just one more way we're continually seeking to cultivate a culture of excellence.
Commercial Repainting Case Studies
Fitness First, The ZONE
This was a large and complex multi-trade project that required the team to work around the parameters of Fitness First's opening hours.
As per standard ProjectPlus operating procedures, the project was completed without the Gym needing to close for a single day.
St Aloysius College, Milsons Point
Located in the shadow of Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge and overlooking the magnificent Harbour is St Aloysius College; in the same place where it has stood for 135 years. Founded in 1879, it is one of Sydney’s oldest schools which, back in November 2014 found itself in need of a facelift.
Goodstart Early Learning, Bondi Junction
The logistics of this external upgrade project were challenging to say the least. The location of the centre - 6 levels above the carpark - presented the first obstacle. A significant amount of sand-filled synthetic turf and redundant playground equipment had to be disposed of by transporting it through the facility. The team got to work with some creative solutions...
Sydney International Aquatic Centre
The Sydney International Aquatic Centre played a starring role in the 2000 Olympic Games, playing witness to many Australian gold medals. Due to the obvious access challenges, the structural steelwork above the pools had not been painted since construction. The surfaces showed signs of corrosion build-up and coating failure.
Glen Innes Police Station
Glen Innes is in the NSW Northern Tablelands, 600 kilometres from Sydney. For a month, six of the ProjectPlus team lived in the historical, mining town while they worked on repainting and restoring the interior and exterior of the Glen Innes Police station - originally built in 1855.
Our expertise also extends to heritage style buildings! The Campbelltown Courthouse hadn’t been painted in well over a decade, providing some challenges for the team. Good project management and carefully coordinated work schedules meant the court operations were not impacted.
Carpark and External Painting Works
Harvey Norman, Auburn
The painting works were completed each evening so the operations of the store weren't impacted. Each night our painters would barricade a section of the carpark and ensure that the area was complete and ready for staff and customers by 6am the following morning.
Goodstart Early Learning, Kellyville Ridge
The tired and worn-out playground at Goodstart Childcare Centre in Kellyville Ridge was in desperate need of some TLC. The key parameter of this project was that a large percentage of the playground needed to remain in use throughout the work for compliance. The landscaping team at ProjectPlus rolled up their sleeves and got to work.
